About Us

The Sanderson Centre has been a Downtown Brantford entertainment destination since 1919. Its magnificent design and architecture represents our remarkable past and reflects the evolution and growth of our heritage and culture today.

Owned and operated by the City of Brantford since 1986. the Sanderson Centre is a home to community performing arts organizations, school events, amateur dance competitions and recitals and offers a season of professional entertainment for the community.

Mission Statement

The Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts shall act as a cultural focal point for the Performing Arts in Brantford, Brant County and Southwestern Ontario.

A first class entertainment facility is to be achieved through the offering of a broad spectrum of self presentations, theatre rentals, amateur theatre productions and joint venture productions.

As a community resource, the Centre shall be made accessible to community and educational groups.

The Centre will schedule balanced and affordable programme of arts and entertainment for all citizens in order to enrich the community as a whole, while being fiscally responsible.
