The Fugitives is a Vancouver-based indie folk collective who have been nominated for multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards. John MacLeod has led a distinguished career spanning 40 years on the Canadian music scene. His first major national and international exposure was as a soloist with Rob McConnell and the Boss Brass, beginning in 1983. Although his international reputation is that of a bassist having appeared on some landmark recordings including “John Handy Live at The Monterey Jazz Festival” (1965) and “Jim Hall Live” (1975) Don Thompson is also an accomplished pianist, vibraphonist, composer and arranger. Don has won three Juno awards, The Oscar Peterson Award  and the Hagood Hardy Award for Composition as well as thirteen National Jazz Awards. In 2009 he was made an Officer of the Order Of Canada.
