Brantford Music Club presents Adam Sherkin - piano

Composer and pianist Adam Sherkin is a dynamic and versatile musician who commands a multi-dimensional approach to performance and composition. A native of Toronto, Adam graduated from the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory and the Royal College of Music, London. The concert will include original compositions as well as well-known pieces by Rachmaninoff, Scarlatti and Chopin among others.

A Big Band tribute to Benny Goodman's historic concert which is heralded as the landmark event that made Swing popular with mainstream audiences. This concert is regarded as one of the most significant in jazz history and features the highly-acclaimed 15-member Galaxy Orchestra, star clarinetist Ross Wooldridge, award-winning vibraphonist Don Thompson and singing sensation Alex Pangman.
