Following Jensen and Friends, we welcome to the stage John Prince and End of the Road. Acknowledged as one of Newfoundland’s premier song writers, John is joined by long time band-mates Bruce McDaniel on guitar, mandolin and vocals and Donny Wood on bass and vocals.  

Master Fiddler Sandy MacIntyre rounds out our show. As one of our greatest proponents of Cape Breton music and dance, Sandy performs and teaches fiddle and step-dancing around the world. He is accompanied by his band “Steeped in Tradition” whose members include son Brian on guitar and vocals, Jeff Gosse on fiddle, Steve Peckford on various stringed instruments and vocals and Donny Wood on piano and vocals.

Serena Ryder is bringing the best of her music in its purest form to the Sanderson Centre. Join her for a memorable stripped-down performance on October 9. 
 
A six-time Juno Award winner, Ryder has achieved gold certifications for her albums “If Your Memory Serves You Well” and “Is It O.K” as well as platinum status for “Harmony”, leading her to stardom along with her smash hits “Stompa”, “What I Wouldn’t Do” & “Got Your Number".  Her most recent album “Utopia” was released in 2017.

This show uses music, dance, and narration to tell the story of one little girl’s experience in “Indian” Residential School. Based on a true story, it brings to light great suffering while celebrating the deep strength of a child who refused to be broken by her experiences.  Performed by Xara Choral Theatre and Sarain Carson-Fox. Based on Fatty Legs by Margaret Pokiak- Fenton and Christy Jordan-Fenton, artwork by Liz Amini-Holmes, published by Annick Press.
