In the aftermath of World War I, two women, one from Six Nations, the other from Brantford can only find comfort and healing in the sharing of their combined memories. Together, they find peace from the war and discover truth and reconciliation in their common experience.

This show uses music, dance, and narration to tell the story of one little girl’s experience in “Indian” Residential School. Based on a true story, it brings to light great suffering while celebrating the deep strength of a child who refused to be broken by her experiences.  Performed by Xara Choral Theatre and Sarain Carson-Fox. Based on Fatty Legs by Margaret Pokiak- Fenton and Christy Jordan-Fenton, artwork by Liz Amini-Holmes, published by Annick Press.
