THE 2017 JUST FOR LAUGHS ROAD SHOW HEADS TO BRANTFORD!

Tuesday April 4 at 8:00 PM

Michael Kosta hosts an evening of comedy featuring stand-up favourites

Yannis Pappas, K. Trevor Wilson and Sabrina Jalees

Brantford – Just For Laughs is delighted to bring more of its funniest alumni to Brantford with the Just For Laughs Road Show! Now in its 14th year touring across Ontario every spring, the Just For Laughs Road Show features four of the best stand-ups straight from the world’s largest and most prestigious comedy Festival.

Michael Kosta has performed on Conan, @Midnight, Late Night with Seth Meyers, at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and also starred in his own comedy special, Comedy Central Presents: Michael Kosta.  As a host, Michael acted as a know-it-all correspondent for E!’s spinoff of The Soup, entitled The Soup Investigates.  Kosta started out as an athlete; he is quick to point out that he was once-ranked number 864 in the world in professional tennis and earned over $11,000 on tour.  Don't laugh, that's $11,000 more than you made as a pro athlete.

Yannis Pappas is a stand-up comedian and current host of AOL’s Original Series, 2 Point Lead. Pappas’ Half Hour Comedy Central Special aired in 2014 and is available on Amazon, iTunes and whenever Comedy Central re-runs it. Pappas was also the co-host of MSG’s sports fan show, The Bracket and the host of ABC’s Fusion Live on the Fusion Network. He has also been featured on AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live, TRUTV’s How To Be a Grown Up, VH1’s Best Week Ever and Good Morning America on ABC. Pappas has been part of the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, New York Comedy Festival and tours the world as a stand-up comedian.  He is known for his immensely popular characters - Mr. Panos and Maurica. All his comedy shorts with Ditch Films can be found on YouTube. Go watch them here: http://yannispappas.net/clips/

K. Trevor Wilson, the self-proclaimed Man Mountain of Comedy, is an award winning comedian and actor with over 20 years of experience. Debuting at 14 on the TV show Goosebumps he is best known for his work as Squirrelly Dan on Crave TV’s Letterkenny, his 5 Just for Laughs appearances, and for competing on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle. Wilson is the 2012 Irwin Barker Homegrown Award winner, the only 2 time winner of the Toronto Comedy Brawl, winner of the 2015 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-up and Best Taped Live Performance for his album “Sexcop Firepenis”, and back to back winner of COCA’s College Comedian of the Year for 2015 & 2016. Wilson has performed all over North America delivering his hilarious stories with his trademark deep baritone voice and has opened for the likes of Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, & Louis CK.

Sabrina Jalees (@SabrinaJalees) is a comedian, actor, keynote speaker and writer based in Los Angeles. While Canadians saw her grow up on Much Music's Video On Trial and YTV's In Real Life, Jalees has gone on to appear on MTV’S Failosophy, VH1’s Best Week Ever, Comedy Central's Adam Devine's House Party and The Nightly Show. As a stand-up she's toured North America, England, South Africa and performed at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival several times. She's appeared on Flashpoint, played a pregnant teen in Lifetime's Mom at Sixteen and most recently joined the cast of Amazon's Transparent for a very *climactic* role in the upcoming third season. After wrapping up a writing gig on NBC's Crowded, she's currently a writer on NBC's newest comedy Powerless. When she's not writing or performing Jalees can be found on Snapchat, face-swapping with her Frenchie, Cowboy, or secretly recording her wife Shauna.
